Installed the app a week ago and followed all the instructions. It doesn't work at all. It's been incredibly hard to get a hold of support, after multiple emails and live chats they just keep saying they're flagging the issue to their developers. To make matters worse, part of their product is broken: "Currently, our crawling bot is experiencing an issue. We are actively working to resolve this matter. Once the issue is fixed, you will regain access to the leaked discount code data."
Hi there,
First off, I'm extremely sorry for your experience. As a team that operates multiple Shopify apps, we do our absolute best to make sure every single merchant has an amazing experience, especially when it comes to support.
Sadly, this particular app was essentially killed mid-last year when Shopify launched "Extensible" checkout. It wasn't exclusive to us, any similar app went from being able to "block" coupon extensions to being unable to do so anymore for anyone with the "new" Shopify Checkout.
This meant we all but shut this app down.
A few weeks ago we discovered a way to "revive" it, and now can block extensions like Honey, Capital One Shopping, (even for extensible checkout) and the rest from auto-injecting in checkout. But.... only for Shopify Plus stores.
We are in the process of bringing this app back from the dead.
I'm more than happy to do everything I can to make this up to you, if you reach out to me directly at marc@promopirates.com and we will see what we can do to turn this experience around for you.
Once again, I'm sorry, and hope we get to work with you again!

Promo Pirates is a fantastic app for blocking coupon codes on Shopify. It's easy to use, reliable and incredibly powerful - all in one package! With it, you can quickly block promo codes from certain regions or customer groups, monitor code usage in an intuitive dashboard and get notified when a code has been used before so you never have to worry about having your store exposed to fraudulent activity. Best of all, thanks to the advanced search feature, it's easy to manage existing codes as well. Promo Pirates definitely elevates coupon code management and control on Shopify and I highly recommend it plus it’s a fraction of the cost compared to the “other” guys.
This app is everything I was hoping for. It's blocking a few of the worst offending coupon extensions like Honey, and Coupert which is popular in the UK. It's also amazing how the crawling was able to find dozens of sites with our codes on them. But best part is that it's by far the most affordable solution. Integration and set up was smooth and easy, and so far this has paid for itself in just a few blocks. Can't wait to see what they bring next!
