Loop launches targeted backup payment campaigns with country scoping
Inhaltsverzeichnis: 2 sections
Loop released a backup payment campaign feature that targets subscribers without a backup card on file. Merchants offer discount or gift incentives, embed a direct link to the subscriber's payment settings, and track enrollment through Loop's campaign dashboard.
This tackles a preventable churn driver: when a subscriber's primary payment method fails, their subscription defaults. Without a backup card on file, recovery attempts usually stall. Campaigns shift this from reactive dunning to proactive enrollment before failure happens.
Running payment recovery campaigns
Merchants set up each campaign by choosing an incentive (discount or gift), then Loop targets only subscribers without backup payment methods. Subscribers receive the offer via email or in-app message and click a direct link to their payment settings, adding a backup card immediately without additional navigation or login friction.
Enrollment results feed into the campaign dashboard, showing merchants how many subscribers acted and converted. This visibility lets merchants adjust incentive levels based on measured response.
Geographic targeting by subscription type
Loop's campaign setup now includes country and province scoping. Importantly, the address used for geographic targeting differs based on subscription type: shipping address for physical subscriptions and billing address for digital subscriptions. This prevents merchants from accidentally excluding or over-targeting based on misaligned geographies, common when payment and fulfillment addresses diverge.
Loop documents the change in its product updates site.
